Services

The assistance offered to s.i.r.a.’s clients includes a variety of services that cover all aspects related to the question of noise pollution.

s.i.r.a. provides the following services:

Evaluation of employee noise risk : periodically measure noise from industrial equipment so as to protect the employees against the risk of being exposed to noise sources during work.

Evaluation of vibration risk to whole body or hand-arm: measure vibration in order to protect the employee that works with vibrating equipment/tools or material that is subject to vibration or impact

Evaluation of vibration for bus drivers: measure vibration to quantify the individual risk connected to the activity of driving a bus.

Noise impact assessment : for airports , transportation infrastructures and other large infrastructures in general , in order to evaluate , by means of sound propagation modelling software, the level of noise reaching residential areas

Vibration impact assessment : for airports , transportation infrastructures and other large infrastructures in general, in order to assess the vibrations generated and the effects they have on people and/or buildings.

Study of noise deadening and noise mitigation : in order to reduce the risk to the exposed employees or to comply to regulatory limits for noise pollution.

Planning vibration control systems and vibration mitigation systems : specialized technical support provided for project designer in order to reduce or control the vibration of the product.

Noise impact assessment : to verify that the generated noise emissions fall within the limits established in the country in question.

Predicted noise impact assessment : to evaluate noise emissions for new production equipment , by calculating the expected noise levels in residential areas, with the aid of sound propagation modelling software.

Sound level measurements : sound level monitoring to assess the level of noise pollution in the area.

Acoustic planning : specialized technical support provided to project designers in the evaluation of the noise insulation requirements for buildings , the selection of the best soundproofing material and the final compliance test of sound levels for the new buildings.

Predicted noise climate documentation : to evaluate the noise climate before starting work on new sites (schools, hospitals or residential complexes).

Acoustic classification plans : subdivision of a municipality into zones having different noise level limits, in conformity with and according to the proposed use and the actual use of the various areas in the municipality.
